Made in Dunedin by Eiderdown's sister company Z Land, this incredibly high-quality 100% Alpaca 4 Seasons Duvet is created using one of the most luxurious and sustainable natural fibres available. This combined with our 100% cotton cover creates a level of luxury that is hard to match.
Our 4 Seasons Duvet is made up of two duvets that can be domed/clipped together to create the perfect all year round duvet. The 250gsm inner can be used during Autumn and Spring, and the lighter 150gsm inner is perfect for Summer. Combine these two duvets and you have a duvet that will keep you warm all throughout winter.
The 150gsm is ideal Duvet in Summer/Spring for modern homes with good insulation and large windows with lots of Sun, or in warmer areas of New Zealand, as the alpaca fibre is lightweight, naturally breathes and when you sleep under this duvet you feel very comfortable but not overheating.
Sourced exclusively from farms around New Zealand, Alpaca is naturally hypoallergenic, odour and mildew resistant, and lighter than wool. Smooth fibres allow us to create a beautifully soft fleece that is 25% warmer than Sheep’s wool (our 400gsm Alpaca duvet is the equivalent of our 500gsm Wool Duvet). Alpaca also has amazing moisture-wicking properties which give it the ability to draw excess moisture away from the body to allow you to be dry and evenly warm throughout the night.

We aim to dispatch all orders the next business day after purchase. During periods of high demand it may take an extra day to ship items. All items will be shipped via NZ Post/Courier Post and tracking is provided by email as soon as they are shipped.
Super easy to order, prompt delivery to the door, and very lovely duvet. Thanks.
A lovely looking and feeling duvet to keep me warm. It has a distinct alpaca odour but it is not offputting. I did air the duvet for the first 2 days before use. It feels nice and warm, although I have woken up a few times in the morning thinking I was cold. A little movement and I was warm again. We ordered another one for my husband! (We rather not share one big one, we love having 2 singles as I feel the cold much more then he does )
Hi Sanne, thanks for your review. Alpaca is naturally odourless so we're surprised to hear about your initial issues with the smell. If the problem persists or you have any further questions please contact us at email@example.com. Thanks, Lucas, Eiderdown
The quality of this duvet is great, and the customer service was excellent! I had a few questions before my purchase, so I sent an email through and received a quick reply from Lucas answering all my questions. I ordered a duvet and it showed up at my doorstep the next day. The quality is great, we have so far only used the autumn/spring weight duvet, I know we will look forward to switching to the lighter option in summer, plus the extra warmth of both layers for those cold winter nights. The alpaca is much more breathable than my previous down duvet and I couldn’t recommend it more. Love to support a great NZ company like Eiderdown!
I had a silk duvet previously which had the lines to show you which way to put the duvet in, otherwise I really like the one I have now. It's good as well that each duvet has its weight on the label so u know which is correct for the time of year.
Came fast and is really snug & warm. Aired for a couple of days and can definitely still smell a little Alpaca, but I don’t mind as it’s an earthy smell. Few days on the bed and I feel most of the smell is gone.
